Deacon Hepburn has served
the Conference since January 2005. He began his work by assessing and
improving statewide diocesan efforts in response to the
2004 hurricane season that witnessed four Category Three
(or higher) hurricanes that hit the Florida peninsula.
He assists local dioceses in their
disaster response activities, in securing disaster
recovery funding, and in their long-term recovery
process. He assists the seven dioceses of Florida and Catholic
Charities agencies around the state in becoming
effective team players in disaster preparedness and
response. His responsibilities also include preparation
of proposals and public and private grant applications
for the Catholic Charities agencies in the state. |
