   Mr. Kooi joined the Florida Catholic Conference Accreditation Committee (FCCAC) in December 2008.  He previously served as Executive Director for the Florida Consortium of Public Charter Schools.  Before holding that post, Mr. Kooi served the people of Florida as the Staff Director and as Policy Chief for the Schools and Learning Council of the Florida House of Representatives.  Mr. Kooi received his Bachelor's degree from Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa.  He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida's College of Law.
