Florida’s “Human Cloning
Prohibition & Responsibility Act of 2003 (SB 1726) has been assigned to five
committees of reference, increasing the difficulty to reach the Senate floor. It is
important that the bill receive hearings as soon as possible. (The House version
– HB 285 by Rep. Kallinger -- in contrast, has ONE reference.) The legislation would prohibit human cloning for any purpose and levy penalties on those who attempt to clone humans. |

| MESSAGE: | Please hold hearings on SB 1726 now. Urge leadership -- Senate President Jim King and Committee Chair Sen. Burt Saunders -- to hear the Human Cloning Prohibition & Responsibility Act (SB 1726) in Senate Health Aging & Long Term Care now. |
